Are you open to the public

Yes! We are open by appointment to the public. Come in to see the items we have in stock or to watch us blow glass! Simply give us a call at 530-613-3793 or 530-320-9071 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at contact@NicholsonvanAltenaGlass.com

Please note that we do not schedule appointments to view glass blowing in the summer months.
 

What happened to Rick and Janet of Nicholson Blown Glass

Sweet, sweet retirement! Have no fear though, you will no doubt see them around the property when you come out to visit. Daughter, Hannah Nicholson, and her best friend, Alana van Altena, have taken over the reins of the studio -and couldn’t be happier about it! Can i schedule a school/ senior center/ club visit

Yes! We only allow a few group visits per year, as they can be disruptive to our work flow - we are a working studio. Please contact us to see group size restrictions, availability, and rates. We take appointments for groups Feb-April but occasionally can make exceptions.

Do you teach classes

No. We are currently not offering classes; however, we may teach classes in the near future. To be the first to know, sign up for our blown glass class email group.
 

Do you do repairs

No, we no longer offer repairs of glass pieces that weren’t made by us or by Nicholson Blown Glass.
